Terms and Conditions

Every person on LNP Auctions premises will be deemed to be there at her/his own risk. He or she will not have any claim against LNP Auctions in what concerns any accidents, damage, injury, loss whatsoever only if there is a case of negligence as a result of LNP employee behaviour.

 

All buyers and sellers must complete a Client Registration form. A one off registration fee of £5 will be charged and for this we will issue a client reference number which can be used every time the client attends an auction.

 

All lots are sold as seen, with all faults and imperfections, they are sold without warranty, unless stated otherwise in the sale catalogue or by the auctioneer. It is Buyer’s responsibility to check the items before bidding.

Because LNP Auctions plays the role of an agent between the seller and the buyer, it is not responsible for any faults, imperfections, authenticity, attributions, quality or condition, genuineness or origin of the goods sold in the auction.

 

All the statements printed in the catalogue or made orally by the auctioneer, regarding lots descriptions, are matters of opinion and shall not be taken as statements of facts.

The auctioneers have, on behalf of them and vendors, the following rights:

  1.  to sell lots subject to a reserve price

  2.  to bid on behalf of a vendor/purchaser

  3. to refuse bids/exclude any person from the premises if there is a good reason to do so.

 

All lots with a reserve price will be sold at auctioneer discretion within 10-15% limit unless stated otherwise by the vendor in the entry form.

LNP Auctions reserves the right divide or combine any lots, also it has the authority to refuse any lots for sale if they are believed to be unsuitable for the sale.

LNP Auctions reserves the right for default; it acts as agent for vendors and therefore he/she is not paid until the buyer has settleed his/her accounts.

 

The highest bid shall be the winning bid, a case of a dispute making exception. If a dispute is caused, the auctioneer has at his discretion the right to settle it and reoffer the lot.

Buyer conditions

The highest bid accepted by the auctioneer shall be the winning bid. At the fall of the hammerall lots are the buyer responsibility. At the fall of the hammer all purchasers have the responsibility to give their name (or where applicable their paddle number).

 

The buyer has the responsibility to pay the hammer price (plus VAT if applicable) and the buyer’s premium (18%).Be aware that, on any lots marked with an (*), VAT is payable on the Hammer price at the standard rate.

 

For bids larger than £500 a deposit sum of 50% must be payed to reception on auction day.

The buyer is considered to be the true owner of the items bought only after the payment in full has been received. Afterwards the lots are his/her responsibility. Lots must be removed by the buyer on his/her own risk and expense by Tuesday the following week from sale date. After the aforementioned date, unpaid lots will be re-entered for sale the following week at auctioneer discretion and the original buyer will be charged an interest fee of £20 for the unpaid lots. If the amount will not be paid in full, the buyer will no longer be a LNP Auctions client and will be excluded from our data base.

 

Any buyer who cannot attend an auction can complete a commission bid form which can be available upon request. Auctioneers reserve the right to bid on behalf of buyers, this service is not chargeable so LNP Auctions it is not liable for executing (or failing to execute) any commission bids. If there are two commission bids received on a lot with the same value, first commission bid shall be the winning one. By signing the Client Registration form the buyer acknowledges his acceptance of these terms and conditions and shall be bound by them.

 

Seller conditions

Every vendor has the responsibility to prove that he is the true owner of the goods or is entitled to sell them on behalf of the owner.

A seller commission of 12% is added to the hammer price, the seller must be aware that all commissions are subject to normal VAT rate.

Any lots can be subject to a reserve price (minimum purchase price accepted by the Seller), which should be stated by the vendor on the lot entry form. The reserve price can be received at auctioneer discretion, making sure it does not exceed the real value of the item. Unsold reserve lots should be removed by the vendor by Tuesday the following week from sale day, unless a re-entry fee is paid. Vendors failing to do so will have their lots disposed at auctioneers’ discretion. All unsold reserve lots can only be re-entered in the next sale without a reserve price.

 

All electrical items are subject to detailed statutory safety controls. Items are accepted in the auction only after they have been tested and cleared for sale (the safety control is payable entirely by the vendor). At the request of the vendor LNP auctions can perform the neccessary PAT test for a fee of 50p per item.

 

All unsold lots are vendors’ responsibility and must be moved on his/her risk and expenses by Tuesday the following week unless a re-entry fee is payable.

 

By signing the client registration form, the vendor acknowledges his acceptance of these terms and conditions and shall be bound by them.
